4) Character's Description:

The man before you is tall, quite tall, perhaps a full 6'6", yet slender for all that, lean, almost wolfish. This height is enhanced by long, deep brown hair that trails in gentle waves to his midback, framing features that could be called noble, or classically beautiful. Smooth skin of an utterly flawless soft olive color glides over the hard lines of his cheeks and long nose and chin. His eyes are slightly sunken, and a vivid, almost red-brown, alert and glittering. His lips are a healthy pink, slender but not -quite- 'cruel'. He is dressed simply, but with style in a close-fitting white, button-down dress shirt and a pair of black dress slacks that highlight his lean build. Over this he wears a mourning coat, of the sort popular almost a hundred years ago, yet the effect is not anachronistic, more cutting-edge in fact. On his feet are a pair of black, lace-up boots, a rather modern touch, surprisingly. He moves like a shadow, gliding from place to place with a light, flowing step.

5) Character's Personality Traits:

Passionate: Yulian is an extraordinarily passionate creature, as only the Tzimisce can be. Though he usually hides it outwardly, inside, he is a seething, emotionally powerful being, able to become wholly enmeshed in the study of an object, or the personality of a living thing. He is not obsessive, merely driven.

Artistic: Again, only in the way a Tzimisce can be, Yulian has a great appreciation for unusual or unique physical forms. he is not, however, obsessed with grotesquerie and monstrousness (though those things have their places). Instead, he explores the unique and the functional, seeking to improve upon nature and art.

Cold: At times, Yulian seems capaable of cutting of all outward emotional response and watching or participating in acts that even the most jaded would deem monstrously inhuman and inhumane. This is a sort of scientific detachment more than anything else, the way a lab tech doesn't get attached to the mice he uses in an experiment.

Scientific: If it can be quantified, measured, and repeated, it is -truth-. Yulian believes this above all else. This even applies to the supernatural, it -has- distinct rules and different things and experiments can be repeated over and over again, so they are quantifiable and thus, can be understood and controlled.

Bestial: Yulian is quite slow to anger, but when it rises to the surface he is a monster, pure and simple. Enrage him and he will do his utmost to make you suffer for it and cold rationality be damned.

6) Character's Background:

Yulian Bodescu was born into a family that had spent much of its existence working for a Revenant family in the land that would later be known as Hungary. This happened in 1575. He worked for the Obertuses, ferrying information back and forth to the Voivode's keep, high on the hill. For some reason, the Voivode exhibited an 'interest' in the youth, who was actually -literate-, having picked up the skill of letters from those he served. His quick wit and physical appearance stirred something in the old creature and he decided to wait and see if this one might eventually be worthy to join his 'extended family'. Besides, the Obertus Revenants were so stuffy and dull. Yulian was invited up to 'Partake of our hospitality and to provide us with...enjoyable company.' a few times, then more as the years went by. By the time he was twenty, he was a regular fixture at the keep. Having been Ghouled and Bonded, this Bond tuned so that he felt a strong filial devotion to the Voivode, as a sort of 'father'.

Eventually, he was inducted into the Clan and all would have been 'happy' in that soft, alien way the Tzimisce have, if not for the Usurpers. The Tremere had been eyeing the magic-rich lands of the East for centuries before they made their move on this particular piece. The struggle was Pyrric at best for the Warlocks as their Gargoyles clashed with the monstrous guardians of the keep and the creatures of the land itself. They took the keep, but few survived to enjoy it. At the moment of his Sire's death, Yulian was free to choose his own path, and choose he did: to survive. There was nothing to be gained by falling before the Tremere, his revenge could wait...centuries if need be. Gathering what he could, including liberal amounts of his precious home soil, he set off toward the West, a place to hide, to grow strong, and to learn. He fell in with the Sabbat, although their wildness he found a bit distasteful, he couldn't deny their power or their ability. They also had no illusions about what they were, unlike the Camarilla. He served them well, becoming a Pack Priest and providing spiritual guidance and focus to beings who otherwise might be in danger of losing control. He serves them to this night, gaining knowledge and power, and always remembering...and looking back to the East...to the soils of home...and waiting...

7) Character's Attributes:

STRENGTH
Yulian's strength is about average for a Cainite of his age. He sees no real need to increase it overmuch, as he can do so using blood and the dreaded Zulo shape.

DEXTERITY
Yulian is quite dexterous, as the use of Vicissitude and the study of medicine demands it. He is very capable and has a high degree of hand-eye coordination, as well as being fully ambidextrous.

STAMINA
Yulian saw no real need to develop his stamina to levels beyond what is required to survive in the middle of mild battle. He much prefers -not- to be struck if it comes to that, or again, to rely on the Zulo shape when physical force is called for.

CHARISMA
Yulian is charming, in a very cold, aloof sort of way. He acts the part of a noble in almost all parts of his life and is usually quite 'correct' in his mannerisms.

MANIPULATION
Yulian usually tends to find base manipulations beneath him, preferring to be direct in his dealings with others. While he can dissemble, he very much prefers not to.

APPEARANCE
<In case the desc need embellishing or there are special notes, this space can be left blank> Yulian's appearance is malleable as clay due to his mastery of Vicissitude. He can appear grotesque, or shockingly beautiful as he sees fit.

PERCEPTION
Yulian is stunningly perceptive, able to pick up on the subtle nuances of people, items, and processes with ease. There are very few things that escape his eyes (and other senses) when he is paying even the least bit of attention.

INTELLIGENCE
Yulian is probably more intelligent than the average human in a very meaningful sense. He is highly analytical and is able to perform complex calculations or design experiments with almost frightening ease.

WITS
Yulian is the sort who knows how to react quickly in most situations. He is rather difficult to catch off guard and is seldom without an idea or a plan.

Alertness: Yulian's life of evasion and avoidance has often turned on his ability to notice things before they got out of hand. His natural perception has helped this, but he is alert beyond mere natural ability.

Brawl: Given his natural forms are his preferred method of combat when it is required, Yulian is unsurprisingly good in close combat, though perhaps only competent by some standards.

Leadership: Yulian can be an effective leader of others, particularly when appealing to their deeper values. His surpassing sincerity works in his favor here. He is capable and could be more if he worked at it.

Etiquette: Though he sometimes does not bother, Yulian knows perfectly well how to fit in with groups both high and low, and can do so quite skillfully when of a mood.

Survival: Yulian has learned over the years how to use his abilities to their most when things get down and dirty. He's not outstanding, but is certainly better than average.

Medicine: Yulian's study of medicine began in the early 1600s under the tutelage of a Tzimisce whose knowledge of human anatomy and physiological processes was in advance of human knowledge at the time. As such, he is probably one of the most formidably skilled students of the 'healing' arts (and all their other uses) around.

Occult: Yulian's search for knowledge wanders through the natural sciences and the occult freely. In fact, he'd deny any true difference. While more focused on the biological sciences, he has a good general knowledge of occult principals...from a vampiric point of view, of course.

Science: Though focused primarily on life sciences and related subjects, in many ways Yulian is an old fashioned 'natural philosopher' and has a more than competent knowledge of all forms of science.

8) Character's Contacts/Resources/Technology:

Yulian is in contact with much of his (tightly knit) Clan and could potentially go to them for aid if the need was great enough. He is fairly wealthy, due to centuries of saving and careful examination of the miracle of compound interest, however, he is no multimillionaire by any means. Finally, Yulian has access to a laboratory of his own design that most modern medical researchers would probably give their right arm (interesting offer) to spend a half hour in. It combines mainstream technological, alchemical, and Koldunic practices to create a workshop where he can alter pre-existing life forms, examine almost any chemical substance(even supernaturally derived ones), and much more.

Yulian's Disciplines are focused heavily on Vicissitude, as might be expected; he can assume the monsterous form of a fairly advanced student. He also posseses a basic ability with Auspex, however.

Yulian is an interesting take on the utterly amoral scientist as seen through vampiric spectacles. His cruelty is almost secondary to his emotionless pursuit of knowledge no matter the harm to others.
